Short Description of Activity

The Sandia Collaborative management committee meets on the first Tuesday of each month to set the agenda for the Full Collaborative meetings. Each meeting lasts about 1-1.5 hours. However, writing the summary for these meetings is my job, and this adds about 3 hours in terms of typing, sharing editing tasks and posting the final summary in the SC Google docs. Meetings were held on 1/4, 2/8, and 3/1/2022.

Reflection/Evaluation

My goal is to advocate for wildlife, and wilderness protections, as well as other conservation issues. To be on the management team does give me some sway, but it does not necessarily always feel like the amount of influence is adequate. However, 2022 will be the year when the collaborative will deal with issues like wildlife corridors, the effects of recreational trails on wildlife habitat, etc.
