Short Description of Activity

Melanie Rees (2 hours)and Robyn Kincaid (1 hour)both spent time in preparation for an April meeting of our Broadband at the Roubideau site which will introduce the group to the activities involved in monitoring such a site. Judith Lopez spent 1.5 hours related to monitoring the Adobe Badlands BLM site. She found the situation similar to recent visits. It is obvious the dunes are still being used for non allowed vehicles but no new significant trash. However, someone apparently is using old China to deal with their personal therapeutic issues. Large and small segments of smashed plate(s) were found at the parking lot but inside the recently erected barrier which had writing on them indicating anger and frustration at some individual. A bag of several pounds of waste from their exercise were cleaned up and removed.

Reflection/Evaluation

The Adobe Badland area was monitored as usual and cleaned of new debris. Plans are being made for a group visit to the Roubideau site in April.
