Short Description of Activity
Worked on, edited, and completed comments regarding the proposed Air Force SUA Changes which would adversely affect a wide swath of public land in AZ and southwestern NM, including national forests, national parks, designated wilderness (including The Gila Wilderness) and proposed wilderness areas, proposed Wild and Scenic River areas, tribal lands, sky islands, and more. We worked in conjunction with the Middle Gila Broadband leader on this. See attached comments.
Reflection/Evaluation
Comments submitted – objective was met. (Next step: The current schedule is for a draft EIS to be released in fall 2023 and final EIS in fall 2024.) Beneficial to work with another Broadband leader particularly since both areas are affected. We worked on separate sections and edited together.
