Short Description of Activity
Hike to use the Spring Seeker app to monitor Arnett Creek near the Superstitions, to help Sky Island Alliance collect information on the state of water/springs in the area.
Reflection/Evaluation
The monitoring went well as there was water in several areas of the creek. We also observed several water insects and some wetlands plants. Goal was met. However, we were unsure of how the creek is fed – by actual spring water or rainwater? So I contacted Sky Island Alliance to ask specific questions on how to determine where the water comes from.
