Short Description of Activity
Our Chapter volunteered to help clean-up this river bottom park off the Parkway in MPLS to celebrate Earth DAY. We.had 17 people signed up but due to severe weather we ended up with 7 volunteers picking up trash. Our attendees are a hearty bunch who worked in rain, hail and some thunder. We gathered up to 19 huge bags of trash.
Reflection/Evaluation
Our goal was to coordinate with Friend’s of the Mississippi and build a mutual relationship for our water environment. Our members love these local volunteer events and this project went extremely well. WE ALWAYS TRY TO DO AN EVENT ON EARTH DAY. This was a successful day even though the weather was not good.
