Short Description of Activity
Planning meetings between Lynn Humphrey and me to prepare and write grant; meetings with OSU Department of Forest Ecosystems and Society, and grant writing. Conversations with Bitterbrush Broads to include and engage their participation. After submitting the grant, two Zoom informational sessions were conducted for both Broadbands to interest people in wilderness monitoring. Additional time spent trying to determine how to use Signup Genius or Google Docs to keep track of interest and involvement. Next steps will be to hold two in-person trainings in the Mount Jefferson Wilderness.
Reflection/Evaluation
The discussions resulted in the desire to cooperate on a project. The grant was submitted. The information sessions were held with 24 participants. The project generated interest in GOB and new members were added. And 20 people (maximum available) signed up for the training with one person on a waiting list. Additionally it’s been great to engage with the Bitterbrush Broads.
