Short Description of Activity
Viewed Bald Eagle nest downstream of Island Acres State Park on the Colorado River. Both juveniles still in the nest, looking like they have flight feathers but not yet trying their wings this time. Adult flew in and perched high up in the nest tree on a bare branch; did not have anything to feed them.
Reflection/Evaluation
Goal met: both juveniles present, an adult watching out for them. Expecting both young to fly in mid June, judging from size and maturity. Broads members Skip Mitas and Mary McCutchan observed.
