Short Description of Activity
Meaningful Movies presents movies on various social concerns at the Liberty theater in Ridgefield WA.
This month’s movies were on ” Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women USA”, followed by a panel discussion with speakers Duana Johnson and Karyn Kameroff who work with local tribes regarding issues of abuse, murder and missing members.
Reflection/Evaluation
I found this to be interesting and aided in further awareness of the issues and difficulties that affect the Indigenous community. some of the statics were frightening. Much was discussed on both federal and State policies being proposed.
