Short Description of Activity

This special BROADCHAT presentation will focus on the restoration of wolves and beavers, and the removal of livestock grazing to implement rewilding of the American West. The discussion will include Oregon where there are portions of several of our proposed reserves including the BlueMountains, the Cascades and a little bit of the northern Rockies. George Wuerthner is an ecologist who has published 38 books and many interviews on various environmental and natural history topics. His most recent two books are Keeping the Wild–Against the Domestication of the Earth, and Protecting the Wild–Parks and Wilderness as the Foundation for Conservation.

Reflection/Evaluation

Yes we met the goals of education our members, partners and friends on the key elements of rewilding. Stop killing wolves and beavers, and retire grazing permits.
