Short Description of Activity
There were three groups of Mt Garfield Middle School students who had applied to attend this all-day program on BLM land, Rough Canyon. Each Broad joined one group to help guide, answer questions and also learn from presenters. I attended the archaeology session, and the web of life. After lunch, I joined the group who had chosen graffiti removal and joined in with the task and also chatting with students about careers with federal land mgt agencies. I took photographs and submitted.
Reflection/Evaluation
This was a well-organized activity and I admire the teacher (now retired) who continues to apply for the grant to fund the bus and supplies for this day out in the field.
