Activity Type: Advocacy (rallies, lobbying, meeting decision makers, letters/calls/emails)
Key Partners: entire CORE Act coalition
Measurable Outcomes
Outcome 1: Advocacy actions (2 LTE)
Short Description of Activity
Continue to advocate for the CORE Act. When passage seemed unlikely, our coalition shifted to support Senator Bennet’s push for administrative actions – Camp Hale and Ten Mile National Monument & administrative mineral withdrawal of Thompson Divide plus alignment of GMUG Forest Plan with San Juan Mtn proposed designations.
Reflection/Evaluation
Camp Hale Ten Mile National Monument designated!!!!! Thompson Divide withdrawal in progress. Time will tell re: San Juans when forest plan is released in spring/summer 2023.
