Short Description of Activity
We had our new NW MT Broadband launch on a rainy Thursday evening at the Creston Fish Hatchery. A surprising number of people came despite the weather. Each of the 4 leaders introduced themselves and talked about why they chose to join GOB and create a new chapter. There was food, drink, a sign up for those who might join or come to hike with us.
Reflection/Evaluation
We had low expectations for the turnout because of the bad weather but felt great that around 30 people showed up for us. We were particularly delighted that GOB board member, Laura Hodge, was able to join us with her husband, along with Peter Metcalfe from the Badger-Two Medicine Foundation and several leaders of local non-profits: Land to Hand, DREAM, Bob Marshall Foundation and NW MT Firefighter Lookout Assn. along with members of Flathead Audubon and Montana Native Plant Assoc. came to build relationships with us.
