Short Description of Activity
Visit to the Kootenai Forest to visit the Black Ram Project.
Reflection/Evaluation
We explored the old growth forest that is threatened to be logged. We learned a lot about the history of the practices of the Kootenai Forest supervisors, not following the law, exporting lumber out of state, not keeping track of roads, not doing EIS, not paying attention to the needs of grizzly bears, etc.
Follow-up will include informing and urging members/mailing list to contact legislators and demand a moratorium on logging in this old growth area.
