Short Description of Activity
Jane Heisler, Lorena Herron, Nancy Siegel, Susan Saul, Gretchen Baller, Laurie, and Stasia Honnald worked on the Whipple Creek Park Trails.
Reflection/Evaluation
We chatted, candy-ed, hiked, enjoyed the misty morning and the magical woods, AND, managed to rehabilitate two turnpikes, build drainage into two sections of trail that had been mudpits last wet season, AND, cut back a bunch of vegetation that otherwise would have thwapped future hikers in the shins. Laurie singlehandedly tackled the lopper jobs, Lorena and Nancy added drainage to our problem trail sections, and Susan, Jane, and Gretchen tackled the turnpikes, including some gravel-hauling and lots of rotten-tree-removal. We definitely did excellent work today!
The weather was perfect and we had a great day of stewardship and camaraderie!
