Short Description of Activity

Laurie, Barb, Lorena, Linda F, Linda B, and Bondi tabled at Overlook Park in Ridgefield, Wa for Birdfest Event.

Reflection/Evaluation

The goal of the activity was to educate the community about the No Place for a Mine and the Climate/Forest Campaign to save old growth and mature forests. We also had childrens’ crafts and talked to visitors about our organization. The people that signed up asked to do so and Linda will follow up with them. The crafts were a hit with the children and the parents. We had great weather, too. Laurie contacted our partners with Ridgefield Wildlife Refuge and scored both a speaker and a stewardship event with them in the near future. We had a great time and the two hours worked out just right as we split up the day. We will be following up with a speaker from Oregon Wild to better educate our members about the Climate/Forest Campaign as well as the No Place for a Mine campaign.
