Short Description of Activity

Micky, Darlene, Jane and Laurie gathered for a leadership meeting.

Reflection/Evaluation

We dined at Darlene’s house and invited Jane to come to join our party. We actually got through the agenda by 8:30! Darlene was a great host and Laurie and Micky also contributed. We agreed to initiate the Grazing on Public Lands campaign. We gave kudos to Roseanne who is doing our advocacy hours. We have not received any money from Oregon Bike as they do not answer my emails so we won’t be doing anymore volunteering with them again. Solitude monitoring is over even though we could not finish our sessions due to Laurie’s getting COVID among other things. But we did have FS and TKO members step up to help us finish the project. Linda reached out to the people on the signup sheet from BirdFest and had a few interested new potential members. The WTA work party was a success and Jane has agreed to contact them about another work party at Columbia Springs in November. Laurie will work on a work party at Pierce National Wildlife Refuge. They have reached out asking for our help with planting. We had a speaker, Lauren Anderson, with Oregon Wild for our October meeting to talk about MOG and climate change. Barb has agreed to do a book group for one evening. We also discussed the Broadwalk and campout events for 2023. Laurie is working on an event in December on Oywahee Canyon. Place and time TBD. The agenda is attached below. It was a fun meeting but we need more leadership members.
