Reflection/Evaluation
Numerous updates from agencies in the Northeast area of Oregon. Those agencies were -Vale BLM, Prineville BLM, Deschutes NF, Umatilla NF, Ochoco NF, Wallowa-Whitman NF, and Malhueur NF. There was an interactive presentation regarding “climate change” and next steps to deal with that. There was discussion about renewable energy and what that looks like besides solar. Presentation on Biochar with part of a day doing a field trip to see how this is produced. Lots of concern across the board regarding the Boardman to Hemingway Power Project and it’s impact on wilderness.
