Short Description of Activity
The newly formed Aldo’s Silver City Broadband advocacy team initiated some advocacy efforts in October. This month 2 team members participated in the NM Green Amendment webinar to learn more about the current language, status, & scope of the amendment. One of the participants contacted the Conservation Voters NM with questions relevant to the Green Amendment, and additional emails to our co-leaders regarding potential advocacy or information gaining actions we might take. In addition, a co-leader came up with potential advocacy actions that could be done “remotely” by one of our members when out of town, as requested.
Reflection/Evaluation
Off to a pretty good start. As a team member pointed out, a bit of coordinated planning regarding what action we can take at this time regarding the proposed NM Green Amendment will be necessary. Steering Committee should discuss based on input received by advocacy team members.
