Short Description of Activity
Large group-split into 3-planted several species of trees to mitigate erosion and encourage wetlands development along the sandy river delta, near troutdale Oregon, and columbia gorge. This was second time we participated in this activity at this location. Plants included, Oregon oak, oregon grape, roses, buttercups, and more.
Reflection/Evaluation
It went well, although there was perhaps too much talking at the beginning. Our small group leaders is a native american and well versed in the history of plants in the area. He provided education besides the proper tree planting technique.
to be honest, I didn’t count how many was planted, but included, Oregon grape, oak, and roses.
