Short Description of Activity
Quarterly RAC meeting with a variety of interest levels – mineral extraction, dispersed camping, recreational commercial, public at large, rocks, govt. agencies, etc. I represent environmental/conservation.
Reflection/Evaluation
Many agency presentations regarding projects taking place in the area of Central, Eastern Oregon. We did a field trip to a proposed Solar site(s). That was pretty eye opening as it is huge. Conversations after raised lots of concerns regarding impact of these solar sites on habitat, wildlife corridors as well as if the transmission lines can even handle them. Great networking with folks over dinner, a very good group. We all have our interests and who we represent, but we are able to talk across the isle with each other.
