Measurable Outcomes
Outcome 1: Stream/river sampled (1 samples)
Short Description of Activity
Preparation work was done on 3/8 to prepare and copy all forms, request sent to RW for needed supplies, all sampling bottles etc. prepared or cleaned. On 3/9 trainee Bro Wayne Quade met me at the site to secure samples and then assisted with running protocols. We gathered normal samples for metals testing which will be conducted in Denver Lab, did sampling and protocols for Ph, alkalinity, hardness, and oxygenation. Completed all related forms. Data on protocols was entered on River Watch website. Metals samples and paper forms will be mailed to River Watch with the next sampling event.
Reflection/Evaluation
Goal for the activity is to obtain data on this site in Confluence Park on the Uncompahgre River in a consistent, regular manner so useful information is provided to decision makers on the status of the river. In addition, training is being provided for another Broadband member so that he may eventually provide sampling at another site. Both goals are being met.
