Short Description of Activity
Meeting of the national Equity and Justice committee discussing the strategic plan, strategies and goals.
Reflection/Evaluation
I feel like an outsider when it comes to this committee and feel uncomfortable having no ability to bring any constructive input. I feel some of the discussion goes down a rabbit hole, over thinking and becoming overly detailed to the point that possibly concepts get lost. Almost to the point that we may be losing the true focus of being an environmental advocacy group.
I am not part of the Broads corporate make up and do not have the training and the mindset that is needed to construct a strategy document.
The other national E&J meetings that were led by Katja where the discussion was how individual Broadbands can introduce E&J awareness, education and activities to its members as a way of working towards an allyship with groups working together in environmental advocacy pursuits was where I felt more able to participate.
