Short Description of Activity

Lorena, June, Linda, Bondi, and Laurie met with Leah Schrodt with the USFWS in her Portland office.

Reflection/Evaluation

Leah was very generous and eager to share her materials. The purpose of the activity is to educated the public on how to make their home/yard critter friendly by providing bird houses/birdbaths/yard debris/leaf litter/ etc. We have obtained color pictures of Insects, Mammals, reptiles, birds, and amphibians which have engaging questions for kids and adults on the back. These pictures are laminated and have their own display cases in which to stand up. We also have more color photos and lesson plans on USB thumb drives which we can print off at an office supply store. We have asked leadership team for up to $200 from our soft account in which to use for printing and other display items. Laurie will share her stuffed animals with the other materials and June has offered to store the storage box at her house. Lorena and Linda will share the activity at our upcoming membership meeting on April 11. We had a great time and what a fabulous committee we have! Looking forward to setting up a new tabling activity for BirdFest in October!
