Short Description of Activity

Organized by Barb Muirhead, this activity involved our Broads driving to the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma to view the “Honor: People and Salmon” art exhibit at the Kittredge Gallery. Northwest Artists Against Extinction created this exhibit, which featured works by some of their members as well as other local artists, including a sixteen year-old high school student. For more information, see https://nwaae.org.

Reflection/Evaluation

This was our Broadband’s first in-person inside event since the pandemic ended so we are pleased that a dozen members of our Broadband attended. The art exhibit was small, but contained many compelling works featuring salmon and highlighting the need to breech the Lower Snake River Dams. Everyone enjoyed it. Afterwards we all went for lunch at a funky old-time Tacoma eatery called, “The Antique Sandwich Shop.”
