Short Description of Activity
Two of our members attended the celebration for the reintroduction of the M.H. Dutch Salmon Greater Gila Wild & Scenic River Act held in Silver City. U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich and U.S. Representative Gabe. Vasquez were featured speakers. We wrote two postcards thanking them for strong support of this legislation and their support of conservation and public lands in general. One of our members had the opportunity to speak with Senator Heinrich about this and related issues including borderland ecological impacts from the wall, etc.
Reflection/Evaluation
Went well. Senator Heinrich is aware of GOBW and our advocacy, etc.
