Short Description of Activity

Attended Center for Environmental Law & Policy lobby training session. Learned more about the bills to be lobbying on, how to lobby, and organize lobby and lobbying roles with other team members in the same district.
Discussed the following bills: Reduce Plastic Pollution HB 1085 and Reducing PCBs SB 5369 and Water Mitigation Bill SB 5517
Also discussed Snookumchuck River / Centralia Power Plant and Provisos: 5th Ave Dam Funding and Adjudication Funding

Reflection/Evaluation

Goal of engaging with legislators to discuss public sentiment for specific issues represented in specific bills was accomplished. I’ve participated in Lobby Days for several years and find it beneficial. Because Representatives get to know you engagement during the rest f the year is easier to accomplish.
