Short Description of Activity
met David Anderson, Drector and Chief Scientist at CNHP.
Reflection/Evaluation
David was very enthusiastic about partnering and offered some ideas for wildlife monitoring. We will need to follow up on those. The Colorado Natural Heritage Program (CNHP) tracks and ranks Colorado’s rare and imperiled species and habitats, and provides information and expertise on these topics to promote the conservation of Colorado’s valuable biological resources. Most of the scientists are women. This would be an excellent partner for forest plans, etc. CODEX provides conservation information on biological diversity, protected lands, hydrology and other natural resources for planning purposes and also allows users to screen a project area for potential impacts to threatened, endangered, and special concern species and their habitats.
