Key Issue: Livestock Grazing Management
Activity Type: Broadband Meeting (prep, implementation & follow up)
Short Description of Activity
As a follow up to our tour of the Crestmont Land Trust we felt the need to debrief our experience.
Reflection/Evaluation
We wanted to discuss how the management practices, particularly the cattle grazing to control noxious weeds, not to fatten up cows, aligned with the values of the Broads. Great discussion about appreciating the generosity of the land “owner” and his creative management practices. We decided to contact him about doing stewardship work on the Land Trust perhaps suggesting that we pull invasive, non-native vegetation so there is less for him to spray.
