Short Description of Activity
4 of us joined a small group of about 10 to remove blackberry vines and ivy along a trail in the wooded area near the greenhouse and outdoor education facilities of the education center
Reflection/Evaluation
We began by learning about the Outdoor Education Center history, plans, and community partners and the restoration plans. We were clearing along the trail through the wooded area. It was not long until we had a huge pile of blackberry vines! The day was a great success. It was wonderful being among the trees and meeting other volunteers. And best of all to learn about Heron’s Nest, a group of community volunteers caring for the land and making it a place for learning and being outdoors in the city. And
