Short Description of Activity

The Biden Administration just opened a formal public comment period on the Lower Snake River dams. Un-damming the Snake River and replacing the dams’ services is the only realistic option to recover Snake River salmon and honor Tribal rights. Making my voice heard.

Reflection/Evaluation

President Biden and members of the Biden Administration:
Your Administration promised a durable, long-term strategy to restore healthy and abundant salmon in the Columbia River basin. Then, your Administration’s top scientists concluded that Snake River dam removal is necessary to restore salmon runs. Now there’s just one thing to do: commit to removing the Snake River dams and replacing the services they provide.
We need your swift, effective leadership. By August 2023, your Administration should:
(1) outline a basin-wide restoration plan that includes Snake River dam removal, and;
(2) commit to supplementing the 2020 Environmental Impact Statement and Record of Decision for the dams.
Snake River dam removal is the only realistic option to keep your Administration’s promise of preventing the extinction of salmon and orcas while honoring Tribal rights. Do you have the courage to keep your promises and trust in science?
Sincerely, Barb Fox Kilgore Woodland WA
