Short Description of Activity

I viewed the webinar offered by WLPA on lake ecology, Invasive Species, fish contaminants, and fishing information in Western Washington Lakes

Reflection/Evaluation

I learned so much about lake ecology , the hydrolic cycle, water temperature and light, dissolved oxygen, mixing regines of lakes, aquatic plants , invasive species, and fish contaminants. I sent out the link to the webinar recording to my chapter and also emailed the Washington Dept of Ecology to see if they needed any water quality monitoring done in Vancouver Lake. I also joined the organization and sent in my membership to support them. They are a small organization and it appears that there is very little monitoring done in SW Washington. I would be very excited to do this monitoring and there are also grants available to apply for.
