Short Description of Activity
Lisa Eckert represented the GJ BB on this Zoom to hear about the background, current intel, and action plans for commenting on the SEIS for GJFO and Colorado River FO RMPs. The draft is guessed to be released in July 2023. Both RMPs are being taken back by BLM due to two different lawsuits. An attorney on the call, Peter (surname?) has hopes that this will push BLM to increase conservation on public lands and provide stronger climate analysis. For the action plan, Lisa pitched that the BB would at the minimum, conduct a writing workshop and possibly join sign-on letters. This Zoom will be reported to the June 5 membership meeting.
Reflection/Evaluation
A well-run meeting and I believe the organizer, Erin, would be pleased with the report-out and committed actions, as well as anticipate more action closer to July.
