During May attended 3 webinars—Raise Our Voices (GOBfW), Biodiverse Urban Corridors (Rocky Mt. Wild), and Protecting Old Growth and Mature Forests (GOBfW)
Reflection/Evaluation
The goal was to increase the knowledge and information I have which would increase my ability to write effective comments and to take other science based actions. This goal was met in different ways by all 3 webinars. I was somewhat amazed to learn that the city of Boulder has hired an urban biodiversity program director who works toward actions that will create connected canopies, pollinator pathways, and absorbent landscapes with the belief that these urban corridors will connect to and support the natural corridors. This webinar also gave a good review of .the threats to habitat health and biodiversity. There was particular emphasis to the threats to pollinators.
