Quarterly meeting to discuss agency updates, upcoming projects, field tour of Baker City Watershed project and other concerns regarding stakeholders and/or agencies.
Reflection/Evaluation
While the agency reports did not address climate change in their restoration projects, there is a lot of the ongoing language regarding forest restoration (thinning, cutting tree’s prescribed burning), agencies in ability to fill positions, and various things going on in eastern and central Oregon. I was able to address my concerns regarding biomass and that it is not “green energy”. It has taken me three years to get on this RAC to represent Environmental concerns….finally now I have a 3 year commitment. (Previously I simply attended on my own with not being assigned.)
