Short Description of Activity
Several on our steering committee and our borderlands committee leader took part in this useful webinar. Sky Islands Alliance seeks to have wildlife cameras be placed on relevant lands in NM, in addition to AZ. Southwest NM also contains sky islands relevant to wildlife corridors, etc., so this is highly relevant to our broadband. This session outlined the usefulness and application of these wildlife cameras, plus tips for what cameras to use, how to install, and monthly reporting.
Reflection/Evaluation
Went well. Several of our participants had specific questions that were answered. It sounds like 2 of our members will likely be directly involved with the Fotofauna program on their property. We also shared the webinar information with our listserv and other specific individuals who we knew might be interested in participating.
