Landscape/area: San Juan National Forest (1864595 acres)

Short Description of Activity
4 Great Old Broads joined with 2 MSI volunteers and 3 Forest service employees to remove invasive thistles from approx. 2 acre meadow off the Pine River Trail in San Juan National Forest.
Reflection/Evaluation
This meadow has received attention from the Forest Service and our chapter in the past. Last year apparently it was worse. We got through about 1/3 of the meadow before I left but it is a work in progress. It was a very hot day and longer hike in and out then was remembered so we could not stay until dark to finish.
