Short Description of Activity
Monitored the area of the WSA bordering Devil’s Thumb Rd stopping to pick up trash at two main parking lots and adjacent areas, mostly shells, broken glass, beer and water bottles.
Reflection/Evaluation
Since I began monitoring there has been sharp decrease in the dumping of house hold waste. BLM has responded to concerns about 4 wheelers and motorized bikes intruding on the WSA by blocking key entry areas. People continue to use the area for shooting and leaving their waste. There is still entry into the area on motorized vehicles but appear to be coming in through areas that are legal.
