Short Description of Activity
The Uncompahgre River is sampled at a site in Confluence Park. Water is taken in order to send samples to a RW lab for assessment of metals, also for volunteer to do protocols for determining pH, oxygenation, hardness, and alkalinity. Data is reported on line to River Watch. Metal samples are sent every other month. Judith Lopez was assisted by Wayne Quade who is a trainee Bros. Preparation work was done on 6/14 with the sampling on and protocols done on 6/15.
Reflection/Evaluation
The goal is to provide reliable and consistent data to River Watch about the status of the river so that decisions can be made on the basis of accurate and useful information.
