Short Description of Activity

Day 1-Cleared portage trail into Asseyo Lake, cleared for hiking and portaging a canoe. Trail about One and a quarter miles in length.
Day 2-Broke into small groups to tour Ely’s Bear Center, Wolf Center, Dorothy Molters Cabin and Siguard Olsen/s LISTENING POINT.
Day 3- Open hiking, swimming and saunas. We also always have an art class; Painted the Bog Cranberry on a wooden plaque to continue our theme of Year of the BOG. We had 16 women who had a tremendous time and support our BWQCA wilderness activities; three of whom joined our organization during this experience..

Reflection/Evaluation

Yes, this was an exceptional Stewardship Project, wildlife Education, Forest fire information/discussion by Superior Forest Ranger Also we cherish going to our YMCA Camp Widgiwagan for its lodging, meals and welcoming environment..
