Short Description of Activity
The WHALES hold an annual potluck picnic to wrap up the summer season, and to hear from our local Forest Service representatives. This year we have a milestone to celebrate as well — our founding WHALES leader, Janna Rankin, handed over the reins to Liz McCane, her very competent successor. Additionally, Janna just happens to be turning 80 on this day, as well. Lots to celebrate!
Reflection/Evaluation
This is always an important an festive gathering, when WHALES who rarely participate in our activities mingle with those we see more frequently. We always give a plug for Great Old Broads membership. This was an opportunity for new leader, Liz McCane, to meet some members for the first time.
