Linda Folkestad and I monitored Lake Placid trail #29 and 29a for solitude
Reflection/Evaluation
We enjoyed the company of thousands of mosquitoes and wore our headnets the entire time! We did not get to the end of the zone at the PCT but did hike to Chenamus Lake on trail 29a. As this was our first time to this trail, we were successful in locating the trails using our Avenza map on our phones! The lake was filled with millions of tiny tadpoles who were feeding on the algae at the edges of the lake. So very cool that these amphibians are doing so well in this wilderness!
We noted 0 people on our hike and I stopped for pizza on my way home!
