Short Description of Activity
Requested meetings with Representative Neguse, Senator Hickenlooper. Referred to staff Abby Callahan and Julia Barry respectively. Emailed them and called them separately on around 8/2/23. Expressed concerns about both bills, and that Senate version is better, but still amends the Wilderness Act. Asked them to inform the legislators and ask them to remove support for the bills. Followed up with a thank you email and written comments. Both replied thanking me for contacting them.
Reflection/Evaluation
I was not able to find out when a legislator was holding a town hall meeting in my area during the August recess. It is needed to follow up on the progress of the bills.
