Monthly Leadership meeting..
Reflection/Evaluation
Covered a ton of things: Upcoming Town Hall meeting coming up with Sen. Wyden and figuring out who will participate; South East Oregon Resource Management Plan is out which is not as great as we would like; Commenting on the McDermitt mining in southern Oregon and Northern Nevada – totally oppose it; Sierra Club filed comments on BLM and FS rulemaking as did our leadership team;
Land Watch submitted comments involving mule deer in Deschutes County and Mary commented on behalf of our chapter; waiting for decision regarding East Side screens which we have been participants in this for years ( not cutting trees larger than 21 “) Making plans for membership picnic; Planning our Sept. Broadwalk in the Ochco’s with at this point possibly 28 attendee’s. RAC updates for Eastern Oregon and Southern Oregon. Pulling together what fall Broadchats will be.
