Short Description of Activity
Molly and I set up our Broads’ table inside at Patagonia for bit over 2 hours on a Saturday. We had our big Climate Change poster on the easel beside the door when folk came inside. Janet Mueller had tabled there in July but had the petition for Clean the Darn Air that attracted people. (Clean the Darn Air withdrew the petition effort due to realizing it was a no go )
Reflection/Evaluation
Most folk entering the store tried to avoid eye contact because they were on a shopping mission apparently. We were friendly and said good bye to all. Patagonia workers were super and one new employee signed up for info from our Broadband. Also, a friend of mine from Ogden came in and got info to join as well as signed up. Goal met? Probably. Exposure to our name and Climate Change association was good. Molly and I got to know each other better and talked about collaborating with other conservation groups more. I included travel time for me to SLC (2 hrs) but Molly didn’t have such travel time
