Short Description of Activity

I prepare a monthly document to send out to our Goggle group that’s part calendar of activities, highlights from the previous month, good news and action items. It’s now called the Broadcast because that best describes what it is. I send it on the first of each month.

Reflection/Evaluation

I know folks appreciate and enjoy the Broadcast and because I have sign-ups on it for our activities I know they read it because we immediately get sign-ups for what we’re offering. Problem is, it gets buried in emails so I also send out stand-alone flyers/sign ups/ info for reach major thing a week or so before they happen. In August I included a funny photo of Maya holding up a piece of sea kelp from our Canal Creek Confluence campout and asked folks to send in captions for it and that the best caption would be revealed in the September Broadcast and the author would win their choice of Broads merchandise. Then in the September Broadcast I wrote that we would like to make this a regular feature and asked members to send photos of Broadband activities needing captions. It’s fun and a good way to highlight Broads, Bros and our activities.
