Key Issue: Doesn’t apply
Activity Type: Relationship Building with non-white and/or frontline communities (relational meetings, attending events, community support, etc.)
Key Partners: Hispanic Affairs Project; Ute Mountain Ute Tribe
Short Description of Activity
Collaborate with Hispanic Affairs Project staff to host schedule outdoor adventure with their members; continue building relationships with Ute Mountain Ute staff, elected leaders and community members.
Reflection/Evaluation
The collaboration with Hispanic Affairs Project is moving very slowly given their limited capacity and a new staff member who is still onboarding coupled with what seems to be some discrepancies in expectations between staff and between our organizations. Though Broads keeps offering to perform the bulk of the work and only requests that HAP elicit suggestions from their membership regarding types of activities they prefer, HAP seems to want to carry more of the load though they have such a small staff. So twice during the summer, our prospective collaboration was postponed. It’s uncertain if we will pull off even one co-hosted event this season. We await word from HAP given they have other priorities. Rather disappointing and HAP’s ED has apologized profusely and repeatedly!
