Short Description of Activity
I monitored the WSA along Devil’s Thumb Rd from the first loop road to two parking areas. There was very little change at the first two locations. I spent most of the time at an area below the second parking lot. I picked up two paper bags of trash, much of it shell casings and broken glass blown up by guns. I also recovered some beer bottles, water bottles and cans as well as metal with bullet holes at a fire ring. I did a report for BLM and provided a picture and location of a downed WSA sign.
Reflection/Evaluation
The goal is to monitor this area for intrusions, which there are and have been reported, and to clean up the area of objects left by humans that do not belong there. These goals are being met.
