Short Description of Activity
Wednesdays: Hiking in Idaho or Wyoming. During July and August we have two hiking groups, to keep our numbers manageable. Due to recent snows in our normal hiking areas, we are now doing a weekly hike. Biking is on hold until the spring.
Reflection/Evaluation
Many women join the WHALES just to hike and/or bike with us. Leaders use our time together to talk about environmental issues, our Great Old Broads affiliation and the values of membership. We now have smaller numbers, but once winter hits, that will change. 3 Women new to our area are quickly assimilated because of these recreational opportunities.
