Short Description of Activity
As a Hike Leader I needed to re-certify my Outdoor First Aid and CPR.
This was part one of my course work doing an online CPR class and first aid with the American Heart Association.
Next week I will attend a live hands-on practice at the Mazamas Mountaineering Center.
I have been a member of the Mazamas since 1999 and have been certified in Wilderness first aid courses with them and with NOLS over the years.
Reflection/Evaluation
It was a very detailed and thorough class. I feel it is important to have the knowledge and skills to safely take people out on the trails, in all sorts of weather and conditions and be prepared..
