Short Description of Activity
Preparation work done on 10/3/23. On 10/5/23 Water samples were taken at Confluence Park site on the Uncompahgre. Judith Lopez was accompanied by a prospective future River Watch trainee. Protocols were done for oxygenation, pH, alkalinity and hardness. Samples were prepared for assessing metals and were mailed to River Watch for processing on 10/6/23. All data was reported on line and with paper forms mailed to River Watch.
Reflection/Evaluation
The goal is to provide reliable data on the status of the river water and conditions to River Watch consistently that is used for making important decisions about this resource. River Watch does regular reliability assessment which has validated accuracy of the procedures that have been employed.
